How does our corporate design process work?
Let’s begin with a complimentary consultation where we have a chance to learn about one another and your creative vision. We can meet at our office in downtown Wheaton, IL, talk over the phone, or schedule a virtual meeting. Here we will go over details of the event and/or brand identity you are trying to create. You are encouraged to share any imagery personal or from online (Instagram, Pinterest, Google Images, etc) that has inspired you. The more detailed, the better! We will discuss what printed, digital, or web elements of design you are looking for.  After the consult, we will use the information to best guide you on which pricing option fits best with your project outlook and what next steps will look like.
After the consultation, we will follow up with a rough estimation of the hours needed to complete the project and a quote of any print costs, if needed.  After you have reviewed the pricing, and if you would like to move forward with us, we will send over a contract & invoice with 25% deposit payment for you complete to begin the design process.
Once the contract and deposit has been completed, we will need any and ALL copy and/or imagery to kick-start the design process!  The amount of copy and imagery can dramatically influence design and layout, so for best efficiency in time, revisions and budget, we recommend and require you to provide as much copy and imagery up front as possible. If we are working on a long term project, we understand this may not be possible, and just require enough copy and imagery to create a base template. We are equipped to aid in providing imagery, styling photography, and copying editing for an additional fee. However we do not write original copy. This must be provided. If you are branding with us, we will use the information gathered from the consultation to create a“moodboard” to kick-start the design process! This includes a visual spread of color, typography, paper selections, monogram, etc that will be used within your brand. This will help you to see the elements & confirm your choices before we move onto the logo development.
Depending on the design project you have contracted with us, we will take all the information finalized from the moodboard process or from the copy and/or imagery received, to create your initial concept(s) or template. From here we will go back and forth to make any revisions needed, until the final concept has been approved, and we have completed all aspects of the design with you. Again depending on the type of design project, the amount of revisions needed, and your response time, this step can fluctuate in extensiveness and duration.
If you are printing any materials through us, we’ll pause here to proofread the project and ensure all the information, grammar, and spelling is correct before sending to print! We would recommend having a neutral party review the suite to check over all these components. We have a copy editor that will review as well. Once everything has been proofread, we will send over a print-production approval form and the invoice with the final balance of your order, both to be completed. We will ask you to look over the files one last time and approve everything for print by signing the print-production approval form and then paying the final balance on your order.
If your contracted project is entirely digital, you will receive all the pieces via email within 1-2 business days of receipt. If your contracted project requires printing, once the print-production approval form and final balance has been completed, we will send everything to print. Production typically takes 5-14 business days depending on the extensiveness of the project contracted. Once printing has been completed, we will contact you to arrange pick up or notify you of shipping confirmation.

That is why during our consultation and the initial custom process, we work closely with you to choose the best cost direction, design format, and printing materials if needed to fit your vision, ambiance, and budget.
